Forest Floor Collection

deer teeth ring

Sterling Silver collection, featuring organic material foraged from the forest floor

This collection accentuates the beauty of organic material I have foraged

while hiking outside of Pittsburgh, PA. The organic material that inspires me at

the moment is deer teeth found in Westmoreland County, rib bones of small

mammals (probably squirrel), shed antler from Elk, and silver birch bark

collected while riding my bike on the GAP trail.  I used a butane hand torch,

sterling silver wire, scrap sterling silver, and sheet sterling silver to create this

entire collection. The contrast of metal and organic material brings individuality

and balance to each piece.
